Programs & Services

The Whole Person is a Center for Independent Living founded in 1978. We are a private, non-residential, nonprofit corporation providing a full range of community-based services for people with disabilities.

Our goals are to promote empowerment, independence, self-reliance and integration into the community.

A key part of our charter is to be consumer controlled as well as consumer focused. A majority of our board of directors and staff are people with disabilities.

The Whole Person provides services at no charge for all people with disabilities and their families, and strives to help them identify and implement resources appropriate to their situation.
