Independent Living Services

The Whole Person offers a broad range of services to individuals with disabilities to increase their ability to perform day-to-day activities and reduce the need of support from family members, professional attendants or other caregiving services. Our services and programs build the confidence of these individuals and improve the many skills they need to live, learn and work in their community.




Employment Services

The Employment Services program provides services exclusively through our Provider Agreement with Missouri Vocational Rehabilitation. Our goal is to help persons with disabilities find careers which match their strengths, abilities, conditions and preferences for employment… (learn more)

Our youth services programs helps children and youth with disabilities develop skills needed for daily activities through a range of training, peer support and social activities. Expressions Art Series

The Expressions Art Series

The Expressions Art Series provides opportunities for artists with disabilities to overcome barriers that may keep them from showing their art in a professional setting, and allows them to share their perspectives and experiences with the community. July Jubilee

July Jubilee

The Whole Person invites you to attend our 2-day celebration of the 26th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) on Saturday, July 23 and Monday, July 25 in our parking lot at 3710 Main Street. Saturday’s event will be an All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast by Chris Cakes from 8:00-10:00 am and a Yard Sale until 4:00pm.


Celebration Awards Luncheon

6th Annual Celebrations Awards Luncheon on Friday, August 26 at The Gallery Event Space, located in the Power & Light District in Kansas City, Missouri. Our keynote speaker, Colonel Greg Gadson, is a 25-year career Army officer whose life is a portrait of courage in the face of great adversity.
